This family’s photography session took place shortly after sunrise this morning, which produced beautiful light and portraits! I was hoping for cooler weather, as our mornings in St. Louis have been more bearable than what we had this morning. I walked out of the house shortly after 6 am and immediately felt the humidity. I’m sure this dear family felt like they were literally melting, but they were great troopers you would never know how sweaty we all were by looking at their portraits. There was lots of laughter and play involved, which really shows how much fun these four have together. It was a pleasure photographing this family and I look forward to capturing them again later in the year. Enjoy the sneak peek!
Sydney’s newborn photography session was also her one week birthday! She has gained some weight and is getting used to life in this world already. She also has strength that I’ve never seen in a newborn before. She lifts her head with purpose, pushes herself forward with her legs and once it looked like she was trying to sit up. I was in total amazement with her skills. What great accomplishments for such a young age! Sydney is pretty laid back and loves laying in her her daddy’s arms or on his lap. She has a pout that I’m sure will come in handy when she wants to get her way in the future too. Look out dad! Thankfully mom and dad have some great help in the house with grandma in town. Enjoy this time. It passes SO fast. Congrats and enjoy the sneak peek!
I’ve been photographing Kristen’s family since the birth of their first son, Xavier, so I was so happy and excited to capture her second pregnancy with a maternity portrait session! Kristen is beautiful inside and out and I think her portraits really show that fact. I recently met her second son, Myles, when he was three days old during his newborn photography session at their new home. It’s such an honor to capture these special moments.
There were severe thunderstorms moving in during this maternity photography session, but the sun came out for a brief moment. What a difference it makes in images! I just love yummy backlighting. Magical! THIS is why time of day is so important when holding a portrait session. Dreamy, buttery, beautiful lighting makes for beautiful images, which in turn just warms my soul!
