This morning’s maternity portrait session was so much fun with the beautiful architecture in St. Louis used as a backdrop. This pretty pregnant mama is expecting her second boy and big brother has decided to name the new baby Yoda. Mom and dad aren’t too keen on the name, but I’m thinking that the name will stick some how since big brother is such a big Star Wars fan. 😉 I’m so excited to capture lil’ “Yoda” in April! OK, so I know this may seem a weird thing to be thankful for, but I really am loving my new pencil sharpener! Sometimes it’s the simple things that just make me so happy. I bought this pencil sharpener, that looks jut like a vintage camera, as a Christmas gift to myself back in December. I was so giddy when I opened the box as it REALLY looks like some of the vintage cameras in my collection. I had gone to the store and bought some classic wooden pencils and placed the whole display proudly on my desk. There’s just something about the classics that I love and so this is a great combination for me. I love writing with pencils and now it’s even more enjoyable for me while being a bit more nostalgic at the same time. And for this…I’m thankful!
Spring is around the corner and even though nothing is in bloom quite yet, I’ve been finding little patches of heaven provided by mother nature. Tonight’s maternity photography session is a perfect example of how beautiful things can be at this time of year. This mom-to-be was so much fun to capture during this special time in her life and I know she’s all set for her lil’ one to arrive. She’s already had her baby showers and when she arrived at her session, she was just coming from Toys R Us with more supplies!
